Pathshala is the early school of Photography in South Asia region, which offers various short-term and long-term educational Programme in photography, film and multimedia journalism throughout the year. Started in 1998, the institution has slowly grown to become a fully-fledged photography educational institution based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Syed Ishtiaque Reza


Syed Ishtiaque Reza started journalism while studying at Dhaka University. First started working as university correspondent of Bangladesh Observer. Later served as Senior Reporter of Financial Express and Chief Reporter of Morning Sun. Then in 1999, he was appointed as a news editor in Ekushey Television. After 1999, he worked as News Editor of ATN Bangla, Chief News Editor in RTV, Chief News Editor in Ekushey TV, News Director in Baisakhi TV and (Director) in Ekatar TV. Currently, he is serving as the chief editor of GTV and Sarabangla.

Syed Ishtiaque Reza received the "Best Economic Reporter's Award – 1998" from the Dhaka Reporters' Unity for an investigative report on the "Guess Sector in a mess". Syed Ishtiaque Reza is a faculty of Postgraduate Diploma in Film and Television at Patshala South Asian Media Institute.
