Rakibul Hasan


Rakibul Hasan has been teaching in the Department of Film and Television in Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. He is also the faculty of Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Jagannath University since 201 1 and now in the Department of Film and Television of the same Universit. Rakibul Hasan made his first short film in 1998 in 16mm film and made a feature-length film 'Lilliputs will overcome' in 2006 in 35mm film. Then he made two more feature-length films called 'Silent Genocide' and 'Divine Justice' in Digitalformat. ln 2015, Rakibul made a Documentary called 'The Torchbearer'. The number of Documentaries, Dramas, Telefilms and Entertainment and Educational TV shows he has created is over a hundred. He has done cinematography in many fiction films and documentaries including '1971', 'The Borderline', 'Hazaribagh in Shots', 'Divine Justice'.

From the early eighties he wrote regular rhymes in national newspapers. ln the nineties, he was involved in the profession of journalism. At that time, Rakibul edited the national children's monthly magazine 'Kishore Katha' and Published Science based Bengali Magazine 'Porjobekkhon'. His book 'Cinematography: Theory and Art' has been published in Ekushey Book Fair in 2021.
