Rupa Chakraborty is the Professor and Head of Bengali Language, Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka. Presently she is a faculty of News Presentation and Reporting Department of Pathshala of Film and Television Department. She is also known as an Author/ Co-Author of various Bengali language learning books for both native speakers and foreigners, enlisted as textbooks by Dhaka University and the National Curriculum and Textbook Board. She has another identification that she has worked extensively on women and children rights over the past 24 years.
