Pathshala Celebrates World Photography Day 2016
Pathshala South Asian Media Institute will celebrate World Photography Day on 19 August 2016 by embracing the love for photography The day is all about celebrating photography whether people see themselves as an Amateur, Hobbyist or Professional.
On occasion, to this day Pathshala will be featuring Presentation of six female Pathshala Alumni who will be showcasing their personal body of work and will arrange portfolio review session for the amateur photography students. The portfolio review session will be conducted by the professionals: Tanvir Murad Topu (Head of Photography Department; Pathshala) and Ashraful Awal Mishuk (Faculty; Pathshala)
The six women photographers (Pathshala Alumni) who will be presenting their personal body of work: Homayra Adiba, Aungmakhai Chak, Sadia Marium, Mahmuda Tuli, Habiba Nowrose and Rajoyana Chowdhury.
Besides an ongoing exhibition held at Pathshala titled ‘19’. ‘19’ is a group show by Six Pathshala students who are graduating from the Professional photography program, the class of 2016. These works collectively deal with the idea of Family, Home, Alienation, Anxiety and Re-experience. To create these bodies of works, the participants were open to use, photographs, moving images, sounds,and archive materials.
